Performance is getting worse with every patch
" 1050 ti. And yes it runs anything I want at 60 fps so far. I can even play Kingdom Hearts 3, a game that came out in 2019 on unreal engine 4 with 0 problems so I'm quite happy :) Meanwhile PoE has non-existent optimization. "If you say so. :) |

" It’s cause you’re running the game on low settings,in other words, your hardware is what’s causing that blurry mess of pixel. " Except for more demanding modern titles. " I wouldn’t really call that much of a benchmark. You’re talking about a game from 2019 that hasn’t seen any major overhauls and is much closer to what your hardware was built to handle. In comparison PoE has changed and improved a lot over the years. And based on your complaints about struggling to run more demanding, modern titles smoothly, it doesn’t really sound like you’re all that happy with the performance of your hardware. " It has optimization, it’s just not optimized around decade-old hardware. It’s that simple. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

" You call them "major overhauls". I call them what they are, lazy game development and backported shoddy assets from PoE 2 that don't work properly, clearly evident by how long it takes to load the shaders for all these assets. Nobody cares about extra fancy particle effects, or graphics that you don't even look at because this is an ARPG. Ofc, people won't notice this if they're on a 5000$ NASA PC that can just brute-force through the bad programming and optimization of this game, and make it seem to run "fine". Having an expensive enough PC to be able to ignore the bad optimization, doesn't make it go away lul, and that's an objective fact. I don't need any "overhauls", what I care about it a game working properly. Every time I see that "continued to incrementally imrpove art, sound, graphics bla bla bla" in patch notes I internally cringe. Just means the game will run even worse on most people's setups. "Maybe you don't. :) I know I care, and so does everyone else who has a couple supporter packs and mtx to show for it. Both PoE 1 and 2 look amazing on higher settings and resolutions - GGG's art team and direction are absolutely nailing it. Last edited by Celestriad#0304 on Apr 10, 2026, 4:35:34 PM

" And you’ve already mentioned that you’re not familiar with this topic, so thanks for your input. " Who are all those nobody you’re always referring to, because you’re just sharing your own insight on how you see things. Given how players continue to support the game via supporter packs and paid mtx it’s fair to say that we, the majority, actually care about and like our fancy particle effects :) " It would be a shame if the game were poorly optimized, especially when players with proper hardware still ran into issues. At the same time, you don’t need a “NASA PC,” but an entry-level rig from a decade ago simply won’t cut it in 2026 anymore. " You’re confusing objective facts with personal opinion again, because the only objective fact here is that the game simply isn’t optimized for entry-level hardware from 10 years ago. That’s just a straightforward fact. " Well that’s fine if you don’t need those things. But if you care about games running smoothly without issues, the only solution is to upgrade your PC, or stick to games that were released during the age of your hardware so you can ensure that you’re not bottlenecked in performance, because GGG isn’t going to optimize the game around your outdated hardware or roll back changes that many players value just to accommodate someone who wants to stay stuck in the past. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Game isn't optimized, all the threads popping up about people with crashes and other problems on insane PCs is proof of that lul
Eventually I will get a new PC gifted to me somehow, but until then I'll keep complaining about the clear lack of optimization when this game should be running fine on PC parts like mine. Lifelong NEET, loud and proud about it.

" " Odd how something “nobody cares about” or “even looks at” ends up being the main motivation. " No amount of complaining is going to meaningfully change the situation, because the constraint isn’t the game itself but the hardware it’s being run on. The game simply isn’t designed around decade old, entry level systems, and repeating that it is “unoptimized” doesn’t make that claim more accurate. Since you’ve already mentioned that you’re not familiar with hardware or related topics, and have no interest in diving into it, it might be worth being a bit more cautious before confidently attributing performance issues to the game itself. Anyone with even a basic understanding of how hardware limitations work would recognize those constraints pretty quickly. Ultimately, the developers have far deeper insight into their own engine than outside speculation allows for. If there were genuinely critical issues, they would have been resolved by now. What they cannot do is make older, weaker hardware perform better out of thin air. Nope its the game. Objective fact.

No Toffy, this is not an issue with the game but a limitation of your hardware, and multiple players have already confirmed the same to you, which is an objective fact. Your opinion is not an objective fact, and you cannot call something a fact if you are not certain about it.
