Zizaran’s Class Gauntlet Starts Soon

The gauntlet was always elitist and casual unfriendly, but this time its outright hostile and arrogant in a lot of ways (starting time, duration, non balancing, hard campaign/easy maps and especially the ruin mod).

...and saying: "nah, slam skills are just for for leveling, they are not that strong", is just dellusional...

A nice league, which had deserved a better event.

The complaints especially when it comes to the starting time (which just always will be perfect for some people on the globe and bad for others) in this context are a bit nonsensical. Is the implication that if the time was better even the casuals could compete with the top of the leaderboard?

Maybe for some people a different event would be nice, but that could just be something additional, no need to complain about what others are doing which they enjoy. Anyways - I'm curious whether this time I will be able to finish A9, and surely this time with triple luck Jungroan will beat Ben!^^

(Edit: I wouldn't even call it casual unfriendly. As long as you can have fun independently of comparing your progress to others. Just take it as some variety in what/how you play.)

Haha, I said "in a way"!! I'm enjoying myself constantly being 5-6 levels above zone level, too.^^

"bad starting time" didnt only refer to the start around midnight for europe, it did refer to start at the middle of the week. Its not about "winning the race", its about "maybe I can get this little bounty". "maybe this time my name will be on the ladderboard", "maybe this time my name is on the ladder even among the first 200 for my class", ...

or stuff like this:

"maybe this time I can finish the campaign, because I have another weekend for a second try".


and just to be clear: its good to have such an event. It needs to be hard, absurdly hard. Its not about the challenge, its about the accessibility and ramping of the challenge

Hm...maybe I misinterpreted the intent of the post a bit. :) For a 7 day ssf event the start does not matter much, but having another weekend would certainly be a nice thing for many.
