Clearly, this is only for certain players. Streamers, people who spend their lives here. It's not for everyone.

The casual player is not the target audience for this event. Otherwise, it would start on a Saturday morning (for the average player).

yeh clearly an event for streamers now but its just a shame because it used to be a community event.

Unfortunately a skip for me this time around.

Starting in the middle of the week with only one day off for me during the whole gauntlet would be no fun. I usually try to get to 95 in gauntlet, but with those times and only 7 days it's a no go.

The gauntlet refers to the expression "running the gauntlet".
The gauntlet is literally an excruciating challenge that you are forced to run.
It isn't about the gauntlet gloves.
Having gloves in the promos is wrong.
