The new map system is utterly annoying

It seems to me that there was an ambitious concept for the final game, but not enough time or resources were available to bring it to fruition.

One more issue: the concept of the maps is turned on its head: not the map is the map, but the location where it’s placed.

I don't know what the point of the redesign of the final stage was. If the goal was to improve the user experience, you've completely failed. I'm starting to doubt that was even the case.

Perhaps what could help is when clicking on the map device, the inventory window automatically opens instead of needing to press the I key.
they spent time and money creating assets and methodologies
for work in poe2. then they had no time or money for assets in
poe1. they put a bunch of poe2 assets in poe1.

then you messed up the atlas based on 15 minutes of feedback

Since there is an update, just commenting to say it still sucks. Not sure if ggg reads the forums.
The worst part is digging through your maps to track around the atlas, It is literally the most annoying dogshit system. I've never hated a new poe system more, I hated this shit in poe2, I hate it in poe1, I liked just popping the map in and going. Why are we making me dig through more and more shit every god damn patch.

It's a MASSIVE downgrade.
Not only are you locked into tiers now, but locked behind having to complete every node to unlock the next etc.

Bricked your build and need the 6link craft to fix it? Sold your old chest? Here, f**k you - have "Complete 7 more nodes to unlock the map slot you need"

In the past you could target run maps that you need to unlock things, now you need to wade through the shit river to get to where you want to be.

Terrible implementation, terrible change.

I figured I would add a suggetion for a simple new feature that would not fix anything but might make it slightly more bearable at league starts.

Give us a toggle on the atlas that puts your map into the next INcomplete map that needs to be run. So we can have like 4 tier one maps in our inventory already transmuted. With the toggle on the atlas, it would pick say the top left map, after that it would pick the top right, bottom left, then bottom right. You won't have to think about which map to click, just right click the map in your inventory and new thing opens that needs to be run.

Also get rid of all the blinking lights, FFS. And the atlas fog of war... I mean why is that there? No reason to force progression from the inside to the outside like that. Or to be unable to run our fav map layout without running 90% of the rest of that quadrant before we find it.

Also give us a way to put a big red circle around our favorite maps so we can find them at a glance. Just a basic right click toggles red outline, another turns it off. No blinking lights.

Why are there blinking LIGHTS FFS. I already ran blight maps, but blight is still blinking... why? I also do not care to run the unique maps, so the F'ers will ALWAYS BE BLINKING>!!@#$
