Slower, engaging combat

Hey there! I enjoy the slower pace of the game in campagin, make it in the endgame too to some extent, maybe not the mapclears but the bossfights.
-Make mapclears slower, from pack to pack 2-3 skill/pack and 3-5 seconds per pack and make them drop better loot, but tone down the monster speed/size. Like in 0.1 -Rework content (abyss, ritual, breach,) so it won't reward the screen clear but positioning, make it only 2-3 mobpacks spawn at a time not from all directions and make them stronger, and give more space in ritual so you can kinda kite them. -Endgame juiced map Bosses/tier 3 pinnacle bosses should always be a 1-3 minute fight, they should not oneshot you and you should not be able to oneshot them. Maybe make it so boss hp scales with your damage, so you can fight it longer, engage with the boss dodge so on, and make it drop loot based on the damage you did to it. You should already understood at this point that is not going to happen. 0.4 is what POE2 future will gonna look like. We well past beyond that initial Diablo Souls 2 fantasy where the only 2.5 Kalltoraks would enjoy it.

Im all for slower game, 0.1 warrior was fun.
What wasnt fun was being slowed down to a crawl by tempchains, frozen ground, temp bubbles and 300 other slowing effects, while mobs were poe1 speed and for melee also a cock and ball torture generally, or should we forget chaos trial bird which was a super ball torture for melee. Bossfights were fun, stunning was fun, combos were fun. Then all that was nerfed while LA/rod oneshot everything. Its a mystery what the fuck is going on in poe2 design HQ. Discuss ideas, not people. Yes, i like a more slower game. PoE1 was a new hack and slash gender but with magic skills and stuff, one button clear the screen.
Now i want a more balance, i want a proper Action ONLINE Role Playing game, not a single player experience, no broken mechanics, no more speed running contests that rewards the same boring "race" all over and replay. It's not fun. And if u think that is fun, please go play D2 or whatever, poe1 from my POV. GGG did mistakes, many ... im better playing something else. |

If you keep the infinite player sustain, Boss fight balancing is revolving only around one-shots.
That is promoting glass-cannon builds with full offense, to shorten the fight and therefore lower the risk of failure. Since you cannot lower the risk of failure by having some mid tier defenses (boss one shots you anyways), there is no possibility of making slower combat happen. If they turned off the one-shots from Bosses, there would be no risk of failure, as everyone runs Leech and stuff having infinite sustain. Solution or rather a gateway to Balancing possibility would be cutting Player infinite sustain methods. That would make us more dependent on Potions too. And Boss fights would be more engaging, difficult as mechanics would start to matter and satisfying when succeeded. It has nothing to do with community or vision. It is 100% combat balancing issue.
