Maven memory game

Can you add a visual hint that just shows the plate order like a big arrow > go here > now here > etc?

That shit has no place in a ACTION rpg.
I'm stressed and have 0 short term memory. Introduce yourself and I instantly forget your name. Look up any numbers or do shopping, can't without a cheat list.

Absolutely uncalled for to prevent people from progressing in atlas due to this arcade dance dance guitar hero fucking bullshit I hate it so much...
I can't fucking remember more than 3 steps and on top it's my first time so there's a million other things to look at and pay attention to.

Get that shit the fuck out of the game or add some assistant mode.

You wouldn't have a boss fight with color coded puzzles, you can't do that to color blind people. So what's your excuse here?

They arent gonna remove bosses or make things easy mode because an extremely small subset of the population cant do them.

Its also not that hard. There are certain patterns that cant be done. For example if its top left it HAS to go to top right, it will never go top left, then bottom which massively reduces the amount of variance in the encounter.

It could use better visibility but they haven't changed it yet so don't count on it. However, usually you risk almost a divine when doing Maven. That is as of now not the case. The invitation is dirt cheap. So, now is the time to face your nemesis the Maven memory game and overcome it with training and repetition.

If you only do it once every league to get that voidstone it will always be a very hard fight. Once you have done it a few times in a row it will permanently be easier in the future. At least that's how it went for me back then after a few hiccups.
Same, I'm so horrible at remembering stuff that I had to save my own phone number as a contact to not forget it LMAO

And then PoE goes and puts this memory game into a bossfight. Very fun.

Also having to memorize how patterns work, just for a memory game only makes it even harder for the people who struggle with it. Even while standing on the first one that lights up, all I can do is say "left, right, top" out loud and hope I can remember it if its an easy pattern lol

Sometimes I use "left,up,down", I can't even decide on a specific way to memorize it that's how bad this raid boss mechanic minigame is.

You don’t need to remember anything for the memory game in a paid carry run?
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

I don't remember saying that I bought a carry this league omegalul, but whatever.

I did it myself cuz the invitation was way cheaper this league so I could just buy one off Faustus instead of spending 500 years farming 2 splinters per maven invite. The fight still sucked, but hey at least I got Invert The Rules Support from my maven kill for the voidstone so I sold that for 8 divs instantly lmao

But if you don't get randomly rewarded with nice loot this fight is just bad and a waste of time.

I got all 4 of my voidstones myself this league, because they aren't required anymore the moment you hit T16s like before. You only need to stack up a bunch of T16 generic maps and you can run whatever map you want, anytime even if that map isn't leveled up to T16 on the atlas, slapping a T16 Map onto it in the map device and opening it makes that zone lvl83. No need for fav map slot unlocks either which took foreveeerrrrr. So I don't care when I get my voidstones now, no need to rush and spend my chaos on carries ever again for those. The Uber Elder voidstone acquisition was one of the best changes this patch.

The endgame is much more streamlined and up to modern standards. They just need to re-design some bosses that have mechanics which don't belong in any ARPG, like Maven or all the other bosses with way too many immunity and add phases.

Many people can't solve Maven's riddles without error, as they struggle to remember one-time combinations.

"Up, left, up... and then left? Or right? Or was it right last time?"

Few people can effectively memorize this format of information and get it out of their heads.

But one day, instead of another guide to farming 9999 mirrors per hour, some popular content creator will tell everyone that the human ability to remember routes they've taken, even mentally, is incredibly powerful.
Don't memorize the order in which the platforms activate; memorize the route you'll take along them. And you'll be surprised how often, instead of "left, right, up, right, left, up, right," you'll only have to remember "run counterclockwise once, then clockwise until the end." And you don't even have to say it. Repeating adjacent elements is "jiggling there N times."

I don't have a great memory, but by memorizing routes, I've defeated over 100 mavens and failed the puzzle no more than five times, solely due to inattention or character death.

Try it.

1. its not that bad.

2. as long as you arent playing HC, just use a portal instead of doing it. Just fail it, zone in, move on.
