My one wish after 14 years of playing PoE
|
Dear GGG,
I’ve been playing Path of Exile since the 2012 beta, and honestly, I’m just tired of the latency. I’m playing Path of Exile 2 from Saudi Arabia and I’m consistently stuck with 80–100ms. It wasn't okay in the first game, and it’s definitely not okay now. With the new mechanics and the dodge mechanic, that delay makes reacting to things feel almost impossible and terrible. Also, the rubber banding and other issue that happens with high latency. There is no reason for us to still be playing on EU/Asia servers when AWS has now launched a full region here in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh/Jeddah). Other major games like Fortnite, Battlefield, and COD and others have already been utilizing Middle East hosting to give players local ping. Is there any plan to finally give us a Middle East gateway? It’s been 14 years, and we really just want to play the game properly. Thanks, (P.S. Please excuse my English if I made any mistakes.) seems fair to me. there might be economic reasons they haven't yet.
maybe the cost per month is 5000$ and the income from the region is 4000$ at the moment the war is destabilizing the whole region including internet and networking assets. hopefully when this settles down there will motivation to set up a scalable server in the area. |

The cost have gone down drastically to motivate companies to establish local network for games and apps. I hope GGG would consider adding a node in middle east so I can finally play the game how it is intended to be played
