Path of exile charachters on xbox and pc/steam

Hello
I play path of exile 1, mirage league on xbox s. Can i continue progressing my xbox s mirage league charachters on pc/steam if i link steam to my account or are xbox and pc platforms/charachters completely separated? I'm afraid Path of Exile 1 does not support crossplay, PoE1 characters are only able to be played on the platform they were created on. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!
