Greater Devour - Either do not work, or poorly described

Gem Description
- Killing Blows with Supported Skills Consume corpses to Recover 400 Life and 40 Mana
- Consuming a Corpse with Supported Skills has 2% chance to grant a Soul per Power

Assumptions:
- These lines are separate, which means - to gain soul - it is required to consume corpse, and not consume corpse from killing blow
- Even tho gem specifies, that it supports any skills that hits enemies, it does not specify, that corpse consumption must be from hit, from supported skill (some skills consume corpse as is, for example offering skills, or Volatile Dead)

Based on this - it is fair to assume, that setup:
"Spellslinger" + "Volatile Dead" + "Greater Devour" + "Desecrate/Unearth" should generate souls, but it does not.

Either - because gem description fails to mention, that soul will be generated, from consuming corpse generated by Killing Blow (kill -> consume -> 2-5% chance to generate soul)
Or - skill does not work as intended, because in this setup - VD is supported by Greated Devour AND consumes corpses

Most likely it is former, rather than later
